Analysing Samsung Advert

The advert for the Samsung F300 uses an image of Beyonce twice with one image being "flipped" with the same phone but one is the music player and the other is the actual phone. The image dominates the advert and reflective of it's importance in the opening, "imagine flipping from your music, to your life and back again." The use of the imperative "imagine" emphasises the use of "your" in the opening and work together to create synthetic personalisation as the audience believes that this advert is tailored to them as they may have always wanted to be able to flip between music and the other apps on the phone and are hooked in with the use of the graphological techniques such as the image of Beyonce and the pink highlights the target audience. The advert is taken from a women's magazine and the advert is sterotypical of this audience with the use of the colour pink, however this advert could target younger female readers who may be more interested in this type of modern technology and like Beyonce's music. The importance of the colour pink is used to highlight "imagine" which opens the advert which could have been used to further hook the readers.
